Welcome to CJM Growers. We established ourselves in 2000 as a family
business. It is owned by Carol Ackhurst and two sons, Joe and Murray
Sheppy. This company is managed with each family member playing a vital
role in the business. We specialise in the growth of indigenous plants.
We have a wide range of indigenous plants that set off on their humble
beginnings in our indigenous plant nursery. Nursery plants are catered
to every day on a constant basis to ensure the best outcome of their
growth. Indigenous gardening is our passion and due to this fact is
something that we do really well. In ten years of starting out, we have
become the largest grower of indigenous plants and indigenous trees in
KwaZulu-Natal, counting municipalities, developers and landscapers
nationwide as our devoted clients.
We are the only grower in the
region of extra-large container grown indigenous trees with heights of
many of these exceeding six metres.
The company is planned and
run on the lines of a production factory. It has to be taken care of 365
days in a year, 7 days a week as the plants always need watering and
feeding. This business plan is what has assured us of constantly having
big trees for sale and that our indigenous plants are of such a high
quality. The great thing about our company is that we have all sorts of
indigenous plants to suit everyone’s needs, regardless of whether you
